Aqua Tofana was a colorless, odorless, tasteless poison that women in the 1600s used to kill their abusive husbands. This print is an art nouveau style advertisement of the poison, featuring a woman wearing a crown of poisonous flowers and holding a smoking crimson bottle. The black border is in a 1920s filigree design. The caption at the bottom reads, “A woman’s choice since 1630.”
